MS Productions

MS Productions, formed by Matt Senior, is UK based with over ten years of experience. With a First Class Bachelor’s degree in Digital Media Productions, Matt understands what is involved in producing high quality marketing material for businesses to stand out. An MA degree in Directing and Producing Science and Natural History at the prestigious National Film and Television School further enhanced filmmaking skills, with a primary focus on the natural world and conservation.

Photography, filmmaking, design. They are ways for us to simply tell a story. Sell a product. Show an emotion. Being able to express and engage through these forms and share compelling stories is what MS Productions is all about. But most of all, MS Productions aims to help others.

Matt explains where his passion stems from: “I have had the opportunity to travel the world and document every location on a number of occasions including several countries in Asia, South America, North America, and Australasia. Through experiencing different cultures and ways of life, it has opened my mind to what the world has to offer, the endless possibilities life can bring, and how no ambition is ever unattainable.

In 2016, on a trip to the Galápagos, I developed an immense passion for conservation and the natural world. I have since directed, produced and shot several wildlife/conservation documentaries including Against the Grey  (2018), Under Threat  (2018), and Now Or Never (2019), all of them consisting of the same goal – to contribute towards protecting and saving a species.”

The latter, Now Or Never, is the world’s first documentary on a newly identified species of orangutan, and all of them gained entry into several International Film Festivals across 5 continents, winning multiple awards along the way.

Whatever the work entails, the tiniest things can make the biggest difference, and we go the extra mile on the small details because that is often where the magic is.

What MS Productions Can Do.

You want to engage with your customers in the simplest and most effective way possible. You want the world to see your ideas, products, and services. The trouble is, you’re not sure about the best way to get your message across. We do and we can help.

Some of the most powerful forms of communication are film, photography, and design. Especially film. It is informative, exciting, and compelling for people to view. For example, the information provided through a short video can be equivalent to pages and pages of writing, but can be absorbed much faster.

This rough framework outlines the process when undertaking projects:

It is important to research and take the time to get to know your organisation, its philosophy, as well as its goals, all while working to create the most effective solutions for your project.

The project is structured and planned with the pre-production stage. This may involve scripting, storyboarding, initial designs, scheduling, and styling.

To keep the design simple. The goal is to focus on the content and conveying the message you want to send in the simplest and most straightforward way to make it easier for the target audience to relate to and feed into.

Every production has a clear plan, and therefore runs smoothly. It is important to know what the client wants and to go and achieve that. Then it’s about the other stuff. Once it is known what the client wants, a individual creative improvisation is brought into the final production enabling every project to be unique.

Adding any final touches to projects are made digitally during the post-production stage. These may involve various forms of video edits, alternate photo edits, and modifying designs.
